FAQs

Does the pricing include engraving?

Yes, the pricing on the site includes the engraving. The only additional charge that might be necessary is an artwork or logo setup fee.

Can you engrave an item I bring in?

It depends on the item. We can sandblast any glass or crystal and some metal items you bring us no matter the size. The engraving area for our laser is 24” x 36”, so if you supply a piece of wood within those dimensions, we can engrave it. If there is a question about whether we can do something, just call or email.

What is laser engraving?

A laser engraver can mark different types of material by burning through the surface layer of the material. It can be used to engrave acrylic, leather, plastic, wood and some metals. You can achieve different looks by engraving different depths or cutting out letters and artwork to make multi-layer items.

How much is setup for artwork or a logo?

It depends on the file format you send us. Send any artwork/logos to axiomengraving@gmail.com and we will take a look at it to see if an additional charge is needed. If you have a logo ready to go that just needs to be cleaned up to engrave, it’s $20. Photos are a little more.

How much do you charge for logo design?

If you would like us to design a logo for your company using your ideas, just send us the information and we will send over some options until we create something you love. The fee is $150 and you will receive different file formats to use for engraving, websites and print.

What is your turn around?

Our typical turn around is a week. A lot of times, it’s shorter than that but certain projects take longer if we have to order supplies.

Can I see a proof before you engrave my items?

Of course. We automatically send proofs for all customer supplied items. We can email or text it to you. We like you to approve all layout and spelling before we start working on your order.

What is sandblasting?

Sandblasting uses abrasive to mark the surface of glass, crystal or metal to leave a permanent frosted look. It is used to achieve a very precise detailed engraving with clean lines.

What file formats do you accept?

We can work with .EPS, .PDF, .CDR and sometimes .JPG files. 600 DPI is preferred, but we can work with what you send. It just might require an additional fee. If you don’t know, email it and let us help!

What materials can you engrave?

We use 3 engraving processes: sublimation, laser engraving, and sandblasting. Each process works with different materials, but they include acrylic, glass, crystal, metal, leather, and wood.

What is sublimation?

Dye-sublimation is a technique which uses heat to transfer ink onto materials. The effects are permanent as long as they are printed onto a polyester coating. Because this coating is needed, it only works on certain products. It creates beautiful full color images on a variety of items.
